This course is designed for the professional rescuer. Helicopter medics, wilderness paramedics, climbing rangers, mountain guides, ski patrollers, heli guides and mountain rescue personnel have all take this course for the cutting edge instruction and curriculum.
This course meets international standards set forth by the International Commission of Alpine Rescue for Avalanche Rescue and Mountain Medicine. The curriculum presented is backed up by rigorous published research.
This course prepares students to handle simple to complex avalanche rescues as well as simple to complex mountain medicine scenarios.
Continuing Medical Education credits are available through the Wilderness Medical Society. Students must take an AIARE Level 1 course before signing up for this class.
